A Cozy Farmhouse Master Bedroom

June 11, 2019

Filed in: Bedroom

We have spent years decorating our home but our master bedroom never made the cut. I always focused on the main rooms of our home that I had never focused much time on our own room. I made it a goal to start working on our room this past Spring and I am happy to report its finally coming together.

It’s no surprise I love the contrast of black furniture against neutral and white walls. It feels so warm and cozy so when I found this bed on Wayfair I had to snatch it up! It is a crazy good price and after about 2 months it seems to be great quality. I love the simplicity to the bed it feels clean yet vintage at the same time! I love how it pairs with the wood accent of our the hope chest we found and a yard sale a few weeks back!

For the bedding, I live for all things cozy, but you already knew that. I absolutely love curling up in bed and watching Netflix, reading or even working on the computer. Our bedroom is where I go when I need to relax when I am feeling down, or just when I need to time to my self! So it has to feel welcoming. It has to speak to me and coziness is exactly how you do that. I picked up the duvet cover and throw pillows from Goodwill and it was quite a steal! I did find similar items on target that I linked above for you!

I have been searching for a new nightstand and also begging Brandon to design me some! But until then I settled for these old cabinets I have had for years now. I love the different heights and dimension it gives to the room. I never would have thought to use a hutch, but I like how things like this somehow just come together and work in the room. I also hung barn lights above each nightstand and used these remotely operated lights so we could skip the wiring mess!

All in all, I’m super happy with how the room is coming together! I still have a few areas I’m working on and I cannot wait to share the rest of the room with you!
