Floral Bedroom Makeover

July 15, 2019

This summer our daughter asked for a bedroom makeover for her birthday just like Bradley did! They are obviously my children! Morghan gave me full design control to do whatever I wanted to her room, which was honestly a bit difficult. The only direction she told me to go in was she wanted a queen size bed. I’m not going to lie I felt the pressure to design a room an almost 14-year-old girl would love when I personally know how difficult it can be to please a teenager.  I knew I wanted to do a wallpaper wall so that was my first step to track down the perfect print!

Floral Wallpaper

We found the perfect wallpaper print over at COLORAYdecor and you guys it is so beautiful! Dominika is the owner of COLORAYdecor and is seriously talented. Her designs are amazing and the wallpaper itself is very high quality ( I’ll get more into that down below) I spoke to her Rep Agnieszka who helped me pick out and measure the area and they were so kind to send me this pattern for our room refresh and to share with all of you! This pattern is called Field Flowers!

Keep in mind that we may receive product or commissions when you click our links and make purchases. However, this does not impact our reviews and comparisons. We try our best to keep things fair and balanced, in order to help you make the best choice for you.

The Installation

The wallpaper was seriously the easiest install ever. COLORAYdecor sends you detailed instructions. My 11-year-old son and I  did the whole wall in less than 45 mins! The wallpaper has an almost linen texture which I love. Very high quality! It was peel and stick which means no messy glue! The best thing is if she ever wants to redecorate it is completely removable by easily peeling off and leaving no damage or scraping!
To Install:
1: Roll out and match the pattern up! ( if using multiple sheets)
2: Peel back just the top of the sheets backing material:
Step3: Line the sheet at the top of the wall and stick the top of the wall.
Step4: Slowly pull the backing off with one hand as you seal the wallpaper to the wall with your other hand. If you get air bubbles as you go simply peal section back off and reapply.
Step 5: Smooth the wallpaper to the wall with hand.  Step back and enjoy!

Teen Girl Bedroom Makeover

After we picked out the wallpaper Everything else came together super easy!
The Bed is from Wayfair and is a pretty good place holder until Brandon builds one for her.
I picked up a dresser and mirror combo and painted it Peacoat by Country Chic Paint.  If you haven’t tried this paint you need to! It is amazing! Use the coupon code legacy10 to save on your first order!
Brandon built floating shelves for her gallery wall that we filled with pictures of some of her favorite people!
The bedding rug and curtains are all from Walmart.
The gold frames are from The Dollar Tree believe it or not!
The lamp was a Goodwill find but can also be found at Target!
I would say the whole room was a success! She absolutely loved it and in true teenager fashion, she hasn’t left it all week!
I want to thank all of the companies I partnered with for this room makeover! While I might have received a free product or get paid a small commission if you choose to purchase a product through our links, all of the opinions are honest. I only share what I love!
